Deductions Reconciliation Module

The Deduction Reconciliation Module (DRM) was a high-stakes project, designed to address a complex problem in the realm of verifying and clearing deductions in the SMB Food and Beverage sector of the CPG industry. This initiative put my skills as a UX problem solver to the test, as it required the creation of a powerful, user-focused product capable of handling sophisticated flows and special cases.

Upgrade to Efficiency: DRM Redefined.

The Problem: The current approach posed key challenges due to its complicated structure and lack of flexibility for a variety of processes used by internal teams to reconcile deductions. Users, meticulously performing intricate and repetitive accounting tasks, found the system arduous and inefficient. My aim here was to delve into a this complex problem space and design a solution that simplifies this highly detailed task while boosting efficiency.

The Result: The final product was a successful consolidation of aesthetics and function. The newly designed DRM was 50% more efficient, intuitive, and was met with positive reception from both the users and stakeholders.

Delving into the complexities of DRM and successfully pulling together a user-centered solution, despite the numerous challenges faced, was a testament to my ability to perform as a UX problem solver. This work ethic has fueled my growth in UX capabilities and complex product design skills, pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with thoughtful and empathetic design.
